Illustration depicting the interior of a Cree Indian tent for the book Narrative of a Journey to the Shores of the Polar Sea, which details the grueling Coppermine Expedition (1819–1822) led by British Royal Navy officer Sir John Franklin. The original drawing was sketched on site by Lieutenant Robert Hood, the expedition’s chief surveyor and artist, and later converted into a copperplate by the English engraver Edward Francis Finden for Murray’s publication.
