Description
Bronze sculpture of Young Christopher Columbus inspired by Giulio Monteverde. He is shown sitting on a mooring bollard with a book in hand and looking out to sea. The stake is decorated with the coat of arms of the Republic of Genoa.
Giulio Monteverde (1837 – 1917) is one of the most brilliant Italian sculptors, he studied Beaux-Arts in Rome.
