Merab Jalagonia (full name Jimsher Merab Jalagonia) is a contemporary painter, born in 1954 in Tbilisi, Georgia, and now lives and works in Prague. He received his art education in Moscow, where he graduated in 1983.

He describes himself as a great romantic. His paintings revolve around three main themes: women, wine and cats. The works radiate joy, life and bright southern colors.

He has exhibited both individually and in groups in Georgia, and his works have also appeared at international fairs such as Art Zurich International (2004) in Switzerland and Art Ireland (2005) in Ireland.
