Description
Modern tōsei gusoku armor in yoko hagi okegawa dō design with an alternative yaro-to kabutó created by covering boar hair over a zunari kabutó three-shell helmet, complete with maedate inscribed ”Namu Hachiman dai bósacu” (I invoke the great Bodhisattva Hachiman) with a mempo face mask in me no shita bō design, all with sabiji nuri (old iron lacquer) finish. On the cuirass there is “Snake’s eye” – ancestral emblem of the Kató clan. Shikoro and kusazuri with fluted surface (kiritsuke), with Oda kote armor sleeves, gourd-shaped fittings (hyotan), sukage-style lacing with loom (odoshi ito) dark blue color (Hachimanguro), tsutsu suneate.
