Odarka

A figure from the classic Ukrainian opera A Zaporozhian Beyond the Danube by Semen Hulak-Artemovsky. The figurine depicts Odarka in traditional Ukrainian attire, captured in a characteristically spirited gesture that alludes to her comical marital squabbles with the Cossack Karas.
Produced at the Kyiv Experimental Ceramic-Artistic Factory (Kyiv EKHZ) in the Soviet Union. Designed by the prominent Ukrainian sculptor Vladislav Ivanovich Shcherbina.
