Parvati

The bronze sculpture depicts the Hindu goddess Parvati in her specific iconographic form. The goddess’s head is decorated with a high conical crown. In the Hindu pantheon, Parvati (the wife of the god Shiva) represents the embodiment of female creative power, motherhood, fertility, love and devotion. The statuette served as an intermediary to obtain divine blessings and harmony in marriage.
