Swiss pocket watch, made in the second half of the 20th century, has a three-layer case made of gold-plated metal. The front of the watch is dedicated to Gilberte de Courgenay. Gilberte Montavon de Courgenay (1896-1957) was a prominent Swiss figure who became famous as a symbol of national spiritual defense during both world wars. Her role was to encourage Swiss soldiers, which made her a popular and inspiring figure, who was written about in songs, novels and films. The watch thus carries not only the practical function of measuring time, but also an important historical and cultural legacy.
