Petr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840 – 1893), Russian composer. He was a recognized personality of romanticism and his well -known works include symphonies, operas and ballet as swan lakes and Nutcrackers. In 1893 he died of cholera and is buried in St. Petersburg.
